Chiropractic School Testimonies

Here at NUSCA we understand how difficult it is to choose a chiropractic school, so we thought this might help. You can enjoy some opinions from already decided undergraduate students as well as chiropractic students why the school they chose was best for them.

We are always looking for more testimonies for the same or different schools. Please feel free to contact us at any time to submit a chiropractic school testimony. We would love to hear about, but not limited to, the following things: Why you chose the school, what you enjoy about it, and why it was the right choice for you?

Life University- Marietta, GA

"I chose chiropractic because of its unique philosophy. The philosophy that the body, clear of interference, can maintain and heal itself. When it came time to decide which school to attend I knew this philosophy had to be the most important factor. I found that many schools did not incorporate this aspect of chiropractic. I wanted to learn how to be a chiropractor, how to adjust and communicate like one. I was lucky to have very successful mentors direct me towards Life University. Life values chiropractic's unique philosophy, teaches you how to adjust, has incredible leadership and a beautiful campus.

As someone who did not want to leave home I now know I made the right decision to get out of my comfort zone and move to Georgia. I was also very impressed with Sherman and Life West. However, Life University was the school for me. I encourage everyone to check out all schools that teach vitalistic and principled chiropractic."

- Pete Brettingen

"I went to Life West Chiropractic College (Hayward, CA) to tour the campus and see the area in March 2014. I fell absolutely in love with the school and the area and was set on attending in the summer of 2016. I didn't even want to visit any other chiropractic schools. I had made my decision. During the fall of 2014 I was informed of an opportunity to visit Life University in Marietta, GA for Life Leadership Weekend where nearly all of my expenses would be covered. I thought I would just go tour to reassure myself that I was set on Life West. The experience at Life Leadership Weekend was truly a game changer for me. I met so many people and loved how the campus was arranged. Life U is a bit larger than Life West, which usually isn't my forte. BUT, I had such amazing experiences and a great time my mindset started to change. I was originally choosing Life West because it was California and I thought it'd be awesome to live there. I was essentially choosing based off of location. Everything simply felt right to attend Life U. I felt like I belonged at this school. I have decided to attend Life U January 2016."

- Danielle Geiger

"I chose life because of their solid philosophy. I like its beautiful campus and that they have one of the best rugby teams! When I visited during life leadership- the auras felt right and they practiced what they preach."

Palmer College of Chiropractic- Davenport, IA

"I decided to choose Palmer because of the history and prestige that is associated with it, along with the state of the art facilities. I like the closeness that each level of schooling has with one another. It was a right fit for me because of the close-knit community that is established within Palmer."

- Christian Castellano

"I chose Palmer because I like that it is the starting place of Chiropractic. It was also recommended by my family's chiropractor as a good school, which was why I decided to look into it. I enjoyed visiting the campus last November, and really liked how friendly everyone was and that people were so excited about chiropractic. This school is right for me because I felt like I was where I belonged when I was visiting. It felt right."

- Kelsey White

"I chose Palmer College of Chiropractic for two main reasons. These two reasons have resonated very well within me. Firstly Palmer is the first chiropractic school, so Palmer has its strong roots in both philosophy and technique. Secondly Palmer strives greatly to move chiropractic towards the future with science through clinical research. I feel that Palmer’s past legacy will be my roots, its present knowledge will be my trunk, and its future opportunities will be my branches to make me into the best chiropractor that I can be.

My favorite part of being a student at Palmer College of Chiropractic is meeting and learning from all the wonderful chiropractors that have made a difference in someone’s life. Either big or small, my passion in life is to help improve individuals’ health through chiropractic care.

Palmer College of Chiropractic and chiropractic in general is right for me because it will help me provide a great way to prevent, heal, rehabilitate, and educate individuals to maintain optimal health."

- Soua Yang

"I chose Palmer for a few different reasons. First, their philosophy really resonates with me. My philosophy is very similar to Palmer's, and I agree that the focus of a chiropractic visit should be on the adjustment and eliminating the subluxations, rather than focusing on a lot of massage, acupuncture, stretching, and blood work. Things that I really like about Palmer are the on campus clinic and clinic abroad options. Every student will work in the clinic during their last couple of trimester adjusting real patients from the community. There is also the option to do an externship, which is basically an internship with a cooperating chiropractor outside of Davenport. I also am interested in participating in Clinic Abroad, which is a trip students go on during their breaks between trimesters to third world countries. They spend a week or two adjusting people in these communities for free under the supervision of licensed chiropractors. I also think that it's really neat that Palmer has such a large research facility on campus as well. There is a lot of current research going on, and I could work there in the future potentially."
